The lump I was talking about before is called the pastern joint. You can see Rockys in one of the photos of page 1. The link here is for boxers. When the dog has stopped growing height wise the lump disappears.

I think its a growth plate.
Sorry if Im not very clear, someone might be able to explain a bit better.

22 inches in height, catching up with Star Im sure Star was just under a year when she stopped growing.

Rocky's got a lot of growing to do

did u ever measure the rate of growth? was it like 2 inchs a month or sommin??

It seems that long ago. Star seemed to grow really quickly in the first 6 months then slowed right down. Then it was slow until a year. Dont think she has grown in height since then. She is still quite puppy like. Not sure if the slow growth has anything to do with changing onto Burns at 6 months. It has a low protein % which makes pups slower to mature.

At 5 months Star weighed 36lb, now she is about 55 - 60lb. Due to go for a weigh in at the vets in a fortnight.

Rocky seems to have grown overnight! I kno it sounds silly but he looks slightly wider

Dunno how u get the time to keep track of it all Carole - bet u got a baby diary for Star??
