Penny for the Guy

Well for the last two hours it has been organised chaos here

My kids up and down the stairs, phone ringing, door knocking, dogs barking because of the door keep knocking etc.

Anyway Liz had her tea early as she is off to the cadets bonfie and firework display tonight She was on her way out and I was about to start our tea and the door is knocking again Arrrrgh!
Dogs going mental once again, it was a group of kids with a wheelbarrow and a guy in it

So I simply said sorry not tonight had the door knocking constantly on Saturday with alot of kids doing trick or treat, now I don't mind giving them a few sweets etc but I do object to been asked for money.

So what are your thoughts ?

Did make me giggle.

I agree.......I don't like it when their standing outside the supermarket asking for money. I just ignore them.

They'd get told to go away if they knocked my door x

TBH Sal I would hate it, it's an invasion of privacy in my view and I value my privacy a lot. Once you give to one lot quick as a flash there will another lot round

We are in a very rural area so thankfully don't get this here.

Hmmm......
My Mum used to own the village shop.
We were allowed to do 'Penny for the Guy' outside her shop (she could keep her eye on us!), and mainly because 90% of people who came in the shop knew us!
All the money went to fireworks for the 'street party' bonfire we used to have (One parent took the money and bought the fireworks).
