Garden - before, during and after

I hope this won't bore you to bits but I thought I'd share our garden as it went from boring nasty lawn and nothing else to (IMHO anyway) a nice area to sit and enjoy. The 'afters' still look very sterile; that was April 2003, so it's in it's third season now.

Guest appearances from the cats and a posthumous pic of Danny, still sadly missed over a year on.

Lots of pics - hope they work

I love that sort of thing before during and after shots - the garden looks brilliant in its simplicity DM really it does. And miles bigger than before with the grass.

Brilliant who designed it?

Thanks Kazz.
The designer was moi
Spot the bits of wood etc in the first or second pics - that's me putting my 'drawn on paper' design on to the ground.
We're lucky having a 3 storey house - I was able to get a good idea of how it might look from the top windows.

I know what you mean DM - planning I went from the back bedroom window bathroom window (only small so a tight squeeze to get my head and shoulders out) to standing on the shed roof when I was trying to figure out where best to plant a tree - things we do eh?

I insisted on going to next doors upstairs too!!

And yes - looks so much bigger now it's 'structured' than just lawn.
