I saw an ad for chiwawa x pikapoo (£400). Woot is that?
Sounds like mongrels to me..
I guess I could have called my dogs jackagoldendoodles and told everybody they're show dogs!

Some of the names are so stupid!. I mean jugs, really!. They are also way over priced. But people think they are getting a breed, but they are really getting a crossbreed.
I don't hate the breeds though, just some of the silly names and the prices.
I am also not a Poodle fan but I could own a Poodle cross with say a Cav, or Cocker.
My sisters Staffy is on season, and Holly's ShihTzu friend is intact, so what would you call that cross. And don't worry Gizmo has not been near Lola while she is on season.
Then you have people breeding Cavs and Pugs. These two breeds have a lot of health problems. Hopefully some person never crosses the two of them!.

Yeah I agree mine is a "westillon" but I call him a Westie cross. Why try to make him out to be something he`s not? (a pedigree)

It does mildly amuse me the way some people seem to take pride in whatever 'breed' their dog is.

I can understand an owner taking pride and credit for the behaviour of a dog. And also for the condition the dog is in. But not for what breed it is. Unless they themselves contributed to the mix!

I often get asked if Marco is a labradoodle (I'm going to have to google them and see what they look like), I always say no he's a PWD and most people just say how lovely he is etc but when I told one woman she said 'that's a shame, did you want a labradoodle and couldn't get one so you got something that looks like one?' - she really seemed surprised when I said no!

I'm just glad she isn't a labadoodle X cocker spaniel or I'd have a cockerdoodle which would lead to the question "What does your Cockerdoodle do?"
