Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world ?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Well I have just tried this.

Couldn't fit it all in my mug so had to transfer to a bowl.
I presume it is plain flour as doesn't say otherwise, and I used rounded spoonfuls.

It's ok, could be more chocolatey though (I didn't use choclate chip) and the texture is very dense. Def for two, I'm a piggy and I couldn't eat it all.

It's definitely heavy. My OH says perhaps it's called most dangerous in case you drop it on your toe. Perhaps it needs self-raising flour?

since you have all the stuff, I think you should try it with self-raising flour and let us all know how it goes, if it works well, I will give it a shot.

Deal, will do it tomorrow though....... I can't move after eating that.

If I remember I will get some chocolate chips too, as 3 tablespoons is a lot to leave out really, perhaps they need to be in..... and perhaps I can try it in a mug after I've mixed it, but no way was it fitting in otherwise, and we have latte mugs the big ones.

I tried it over the weekend and used self-raising flour and some extra grated chocolate as had no choc chips! I mixed it in a bowl first then poured it into a huge mug - I thought it was pretty good - even better with cream or icecream!
