Chicken verses Pheasant

Which of these do you think lead the better life before they end up on a plate?

Pheasant! But thats because I have been invovled in rearing and feeding of pheasants, due to my OH being a gamekeeper!

I don't really know anything about chickens, or how they are reared for meat!

I think that sometimes, when a pheasant isn't shot outright, its cruel, but these people pay alot of money to shoot, so I am not going to complain! They pay my beating wages!!

I would say pheasent in the majority, but some chickens are kept very well.

I doubt pheasants are smart enough to appreciate their freedom. Given a choice, likely they would opt for the no hassle life of a chicken. Look at the way many people will trade freedom for security.

In most cases I would say the pheasant, but of course it all depends on whether the chickens are free-range and well cared for, or battery farmed.
