HELP headset

Hi all,
I must be extremely thick or something,i have brought a headset with mic because we have bt communicator on our pc,but the problem is we have a monitor with built in speakers.
How do i turn these off and use headphones instead?

LOL You could try plugging the headset into the headset sockets it works for me

Hi,
it does work through the headphones but also through the built in speakers so everybody else can hear my awful taste in music lol

what you need to do is go into your contol panel to the sound and audio devices and mute the things you don't want to work

Hi all,
Sorted it,after 2 hours of messing with all the controls etc all i needed to do was unplug the speaker cable to my monitor
how simple and i couldn't work it out
