Trip to the zoo

I took a day off yesterday and went to Colchester Zoo-

had a great day. The best thing was the tunnel under the sealion pool - they swam right past you. But I couldn`t get a good photo of them so here are some of the other residents....

Red Panda having lunch

One of a group of wolves, who all looked very laid back.

Glad you enjoyed it Claire. It really is a good zoo and well worth a visit.
I know the owner of the zoo Mr Tropeano snr used to, many years ago, let the wolves out and take them for a walk round the grounds with his GSD's. I don't know if he still does as I think most of those wolves would be dead now and the replacements may not be as well behaved.
The tunnel is fabulous and did you walk through the bit where all the monkeys are loose around you?

I did a study at college on the wolves and the zebra; Had some interesting results... And afterwards played in the play area

Lovely pictures. I do love Red Pandas.

I love the teensy little baby Meerkat too, in fact I was at Marwell Zoo today, hoping to see the Meerkats there but it seems they were all burrowed away from the rain
Smashing photos
