Is it the end of Top Gear!!!!

sorry all, but my eldest son is a top gear fan but we are a bit behind here in spain and are still watching the re-runs on sky..

not had the new series yet, but son has just come running into the bathroom yelling!!! MUM there's not going to be anymore top gear..

can anyone enlighten us to whats going on!!

is this true if so he's going tobe devestated

I read this in the paper the other week, i think there is one more series then yep thats it, Jeremy doesnt want to do it anymore

It is not really any surprise that Jeremy thinks it is all about him but Top Gear existed before Jeremy Clarkson and, in my opinion anyway, was a better magazine programme about motoring rather than stunt stuff and egos . There have been very good presenters in the past so I am sure if the BBC wanted it to continue his leaving would not affect it. I think it's demise would be rather more about the difficulties of airing a programme that is going to have to be rather more aware, and tolerant (thank you Jeremy ) of our need to rein in consumerism and energy squandering.

Thanks for the replies, will have to wait and see what happens then, sure the hamster will be on our screens for a long while yet and as hewey says there has been other presenters before.It's just my eldest is on first name terms with jeremy!! and his word is gospel you all know what 12 year old boys are like
