Dead Dog Appears To Family In A Piece Of Wood

A couple who lost their beloved pet dog believe she has returned to them in a log they were about to throw on the fire.

Terry and Joan Wright lost devoted Labrador Bess three years ago.

But yesterday as Mr Wright, 66, was about to throw a log on the fire at the couple’s 200-year-old cottage in Antrobus, Cheshire, he spotted Bess’ face peering out from the log.

Somehow her likeness had been captured in the grain of the hewn tree.

Mr Wright said: “Bess has come back in the most amazing way and this time she’ll be staying right by our side forever.

“I have been handling wood all my life but I have never seen anything like it before.

“I have shown it to the family and friends and they have all agreed the Labrador’s face is there.”

He added that he and Mrs Wright still missed Bess and said: “It was a big loss and no other dog could replace her.

“I have been offered money for the log but no amount will persuade me to part with it.”

lol I can see where I think the dog is, I guess if it gives them comfort that is great. Do you think though that people will always find something if they look hard enough?

Did you ever see the piece of toast with Mary's picture somebody was trying to sell it on Ebay for a fortune

I think you've hit it on the head there, people will always see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear, but as you say laura if it comforts them, then great
