By "lashing out" I meant as soon as the rot started to sniff at Kylee (my cousin) his puppy went into guard dog mode and just let out a loud vicious bark.. many times. She's never been in that social environment, my cousin was just trying to introduce her to these social dog events. She was actually very stable other than that moment.

I dont really think that cane coro as a breed should be in question here.
I've seen plenty of dogs (of all breeds)in your words 'have a go' at another. That never made me think that all the breeds that did are not meant for social events or not to be walked in the park!
Maybe there was a reason for it?
Has the pup been well socialized and trainned?
And when you say have ago, do you mean bark? growl?
Dogs cant speak english, they communicate through body language and vocalizations.
Have you seen some dogs play? when thet are, it can sometimes be very rough, sometimes barking, showing there teeth and growling at each other..but that is, all it is play.
So could you explain what 'have a go' means?

You dont own a cane corso do you? Its just it says, on your 'dogs own' cane corso?

I`m fascinated at your terminology TBH. I`ve never heard a dog described as `stable` before. Having a good temperament, well-socialised, yes, but stable is more something I`d apply to furniture TBH. So what do you mean by it?
Similarly - lashing out. This is usually applied to someone hitting out with their limbs, but you said the dog `barked`. So I`m a little confused.
Maybe you could clarify?
thanks

I was at a dog show on Monday and saw plenty of dogs barking at people and other dogs. A bunch of people sat behind us and Lily barked at them. She was clearly saying 'go away' but it wasn't a problem. They stayed put and she got used to them. I'm confused why it's a problem having a young dog in a busy, hectic environment and then being surprised when it barked!
