Back seat owners

How many of these do you come across in non-forum life?

example.
This evening my manager asked how we were getting on with out puppy. I said 'hes great, apart from a few sleepless nights, but we only had to let him out once last night instead of 4 or 4.'

She says 'oh no, you musn't do that. you can't let him out when he cries'

me: 'we don't, only when he needs a toilet and then we ignore him, he's too young to go all night.'

her: 'no, you have to put newspaper down and ignore him.'

Why don't people get that there is more than one way to poach a bear.

Oh yes all the time!

It makes me chuckle because i listen to them and then tell them i trained as an APDT instructer (they needn't know that my membership hass lapsed) and that the techniques they are using are inaccurate, old fashioned and have no proof that they work..........all in the nicest possible way of course!

Oh yes, everyone always has an opinion on dog training, wanted or not and the opinions are always the 'correct' ways to do things Had this with Jamie when I first got him, from where I used to work

I had a nightmare with people telling me how to do things when Takara was a pup. Unfortunately I'd never had a dog and in my desire to do it right, I tried taking other people's advice.

If I'd stuck to what I researched before I got her - she'd be a lot more balanced now!!

Breagh pinched the left overs of the roast beef from the kitchen worktop last time I visited my parents.

We were all sat around the dinner table when we (Fudgeley and I) saw her through the window, gulping it down on the lawn.

Next thing she's cowaring under the dinner table and my dad was roaring at her........"YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT IF YOU WERE MINE" (with a shakey fist and a loud GRRRRRR)

I know she was naughty but I defended her. Why ? ..It's been a while since my parent's had a dog and even then then I remember food being pinched and bins being raided. At home we know how she is and doors would not be left open.

It got me a bit mad.
