Heck, that's hard. These are breeds I'd like to own but probably not all would be suitable for me:
1. mutt
2. scottie - more than 1
3. cesky - more than 1
4. dandie dinmont
5. newfie

I love giant breeds, but I've only ever had mutts, so they have to earn a spot on the list.

1. Great Dane
2. German Shepherd
3. Irish Wolfhound
4. Newfies
5. Mutts

Gotta love the gentle giants!

I adore most dogs but could never own one that is dog aggressive which excludes a lot of terriers and bull breeds even though I admire their looks. The top ones I want to own are:

Standard Poodles
Flat Coated Retreiver
Schnauzers (all sizes)
Pembroke Corgis
Collies - Rough or Smooth

Bullmastiffs, dobermanns, whippets...as for the last three...I can't decide. I love some lurchers, but not all. I like chihuahuas, chinese cresteds, chins, boston terriers...sweet little toy dogs...but are they my fave? I'm not sure.

GSDS are nice too...

Well I'm going to be the first one to say.....
  1. Affenpinschers!!! - fantastic little dogs with big personalities and the cutest faces, I don't understand why they are not more popular?
  2. Finnish Spitz - stunning foxy looks and colouring, I wanted one when getting a dog was still just a dream, fell in love when I met one.
  3. Mini Poodle - proper little dogs with great focus, I need one to do agility with.
  4. Irish Wolfhound - loved since I was a kid, but will probably never be able to have one, interesting to see how often they crop up on these lists.
  5. Pepper dogs - ok not strictly a breed and it may say on her papers that she is a Schnauzer but I've never met another one like her in looks or temperament! She may drive me nuts but as my first dog she will always be special.

There are loads more but these are top of the list for now.

I have a hankering for an Irish Wolfhound or a broken coated lurcher (they always remind me of medieval times) i love Dobermans and Weimaraners - most of the hound group tbh
