Morning all,

Wednesday already – or “hump” day as the Americans call it

Yesterday’s interviews were a bit of a waste of time. First one was at 11, and I was told at 10.30 that we should reconsider hiring a new guy. O-k-a-y…….. ………. Emailed the two agencies involved, but said I would see the guy booked for 11am as it was probably too late to cancel him.

The agency concerned called me later in the afternoon to see how he interviewed anyway. I said I had no idea, as he didn’t turn up…..

At least I don’t have to do it again any time soon (she said, hopefully)

A pirate walked into a bar and the bartender said, 'Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened? You look terrible.'
'What do you mean?' said the pirate, 'I feel fine.'
'What about the wooden leg? You didn't have that before.'
'Well, we were in a battle and I got hit with a cannon ball, but I'm fine now.'
'Well, OK, but what about that hook? What happened to your hand?'
'We were in another battle. I boarded a ship and got into a sword fight. My hand was cut off. I got fitted with a hook. I'm fine, really.'
'What about that eye patch?'
'Oh, one day we were at sea, and a flock of birds flew over. I looked up and one of them sh*t in my eye.'
'You're kidding,' said the bartender, 'you couldn't lose an eye just from bird sh*t.'
'It was my first day with the hook.'

all quiet at the moment as dan is busy eating he went back to school on monday after our meeting but will just have to wait and see if school keeps their word over stuff.

off to mum's in a bit....then we might be shopping and wrapping pressies for the rest of the day.

Back to work today...had flu like virus for nearly 2 weeks, still sound awful although I feel fine...knocked me off my feet it did.

Hi everyone. Hope you sound better soon Sheree. It is VERY dark here.I`m trying to get eldest ready for school this morning, hoping she might manage a whole morning. This virus is a stinker. It is now 3 weeks since she started with it and she is still nowhere near better. I can say she has made a small amount of progress so there`s light at the end of the tunnel even though the tunnel is longer than we would like!!!
