Rocco GSD 20months Male

Meet :smt049 Rocco :smt049

He's a friendly 20-month-old, male German Shepherd

Rocco was bought from a breeder as a puppy, he's from German lines with a pedigree the length of his tail, he is looking for a new home because his owner regrettably no longer has the time to care for him properly. He is a very friendly and sociable dog who is good with everyone he meets. He loves other dogs and enjoys meeting up with them for a play in the park. He has lived with young children and would happily live with children from 6 years upwards. He toilet-trained, well-behaved, well-trained and knows lots of commands although he does need to be taught how to walk on his lead without pulling. He is egger to please and travels well in the car.

Rocco loves long walks with his owner, playing football and being groomed. He is an affectionate and loyal dog who is playful and active outdoors and calm in the home, where he likes to be stroked all over and playing games of hide and seek. He will need at least one to two hours of off-lead exercise every day.

Rocco needs an owner who will treat him as part of the family, with a liking to be centre of attention he will sometimes woof at you if he thinks he is being ignored or is feeling left out. He can be left alone without any problems. He would like someone who can spend lots of time with him and include him in their daily activities. This lad would really like, and deserves, someone who will shower him with attention. He would love to do agility and would excel in obedience trials. He will certainly make someone a wonderful, affectionate and loyal companion.

Rocco's new owners will have had experience of German Shephereds before. He is looking for a perfect new home, a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life.

AllBreeds dogs are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before going to their new homes. All homes are vetted before and after adoption. AllBreeds dogs are looking for their ideal new homes so please be sure to read through all the information given in their profile.

You may be surprised. I used to volunteer in GSD Rescue and he sounds the type of dog that my police force would definitely like to assess. If he isn't nervous, has good play drive and has been well socialised, I am sure they would give him an assessment.

I've assessed him already and he failed miserably, would rather jump behind you than in front and not interested in holding on to toys. I've been assessing our GSD's for the Met police for years now so have a fair idea which ones will make the grade.

Thanks for thinking of him though :smt001
