Good foods for putting weight on

Other than tripe, of which I'm planning to get some in.
My young lad's always been quite lean, but it fluctuates and he's in another skinny stage atm and I'd like to get a bit of weight on him. I have upped his portion sizes already but any ideas for additions to his diet much appreciated

Well I was going to say tripe LOL!

Do you feed him raw or kibble? Lamb is a good one for putting a bit of weight on.

I have struggled with this one too. My most successful finds for upping calorie content is to have a list of toppings that I mix in and sprinkle on top of the normal food.

I keep the list stored with ocado so I don't order the same stuff repeatedly and the vigour he consumes new delights with has stretched his stomach and he now eats a larger quantity as well as higher calorie food

Top picks are (and take into account the amount of salt and vitamins in these things)
Sausages or frankfurters, pate, tinned fish in oil, pork belly, stewing lamb, cream cheese (normally lactofree due to dodgey belly), mackerel, goats yogurt, icecream (made without sugar, sometimes soya cream and sometimes goats milk). Most succesful is a small amount of whatever we are eating (providing its dog friendly) mixed in because hes sure to polish his bowl off.

I hear great things about lambs tongue and tripe but both of these made my boy vomit (I think he doesnt digest fat so well) but Ive had my hands on one dog who gained a lot eating it.

Also a product called 'Fatboy' which is specifically for dogs weight gain is sposed to be good but I havent tried it and dont know what the nutritional values are.

I'd love to know what you try and if it works, could you let me know?

I've used Fat Boy successfully on one of my dogs who was very lean. Before that I went through the usual list of tripe, lamb breast, raw etc.
