smelly head???

any ideas why my pup has a smelly head. He had it a couple of days ago when he was poorly but once he got better it went. Now its back but he is ok now. But his head stinks!!!

any ideas?

Doesn't the rest of him smell the same? and if it is his head is it his breathe? is he eating things he souldn't cat poo and verious other unspeakable things come to mind with pups.
What does it smell like?

The 'tears' from a dog's eyes can smell sour if the face is not properly cleaned, Could it be that?
