doggy dandruff?

indie has little white specs in her fur. now i read somewhere that dogs dont get dandruff as such, its something to do with the oils in their skin.

so what is the best way to resolve this problem? with it beng warmer we dont use the heating as much, which i hear is usually a contributing factor

Kingsley gets that too Jenny.
Mainly when his coat is longer.
When he's stressed it happens too. As soon as we get to the vets for a visit, he's covered in it!

I was told that the dandruff in cats and dogs was a sign of toxins coming out of the dog and to try a different food as it was probably caused by a food allergy.

A lot of dogs suffer from scurvy, normally round the base of thier tails. As far as I'm aware, not much can be done to treat it (I've had lots of dogs with this, and tried everything)

Try giving fish oils in Indie's diet and see if that helps

We used to use a wheatgerm shampoo from the vet on one of our oldies and we found taking yeast out of his diet helped too.
