One of mine likes to get on the roof of the house but it's not really allowed. It was funny and I thought it was awesome he had the athletic ability to get on top of the house but I quickly learned it is not cool at all and the biggest pain keeping him on ground level.

He'll jump on a window ledge where the kitchen oversees the back yard. Then he'll proceed to jump onto the brick ledge under neath the roof and somehow he hangs himself up and pulls himself onto the roof.

Beyond the safety aspect, my first thought was "why bother". The dog would probably rather be sleeping on its bed rather than sitting on a uncomfortable roof for hours at a time. Weird.
