Depends on the dog.....Tassle is a real cuddle bum (with me) and she gets alot of her support from close contact....(on laps or worming under my arm)....Siren is one who like to do mutual affection...

Trip can;t sit still, Jasper Loves his face/eye rubs and Gabe loves body scratches ;D....

Inca just loves her chest and tummy tickeld, she will sit with a dopey face for ages whilst you do that.

Tonto just loves playing schnuffies, where we both crawl on the floor and he gets his tummy tickled whilst rubbing his whiskers on the carpet and dragging his back paws along as if they are paralysied.

You have to be there.

Call her beautiful gorgeous special puppy. Kiss her face, scratch her head and ears, hold her head in my hand and talk to her, stroke her, rub her tummy and chest, kiss her nose, stroke her head, sniff her ears and paws (yes you read it right, i love the smell of dog paws).......alll sorts of things like that.

Ben is a lap dog, even at 4 months old, and I stroke him, play with his toes, kiss him etc. while he's sleeping on my lap...

Oh yeah i forgot that bit. Tonks likes it, but my family dog really likes it! Tonks also likes to sit on my lap......right on my lap and be craddled like a baby. She likes to do it at least once a day ........and she is three and a half stone now....with pointy elbows, so it isn't always as comfortable as me as it seems to be for her!
