Although there are newer versions this was done on Adobe elements10. Ii do have elements 11 as well but for you and to keep costs down I recommend Elements 10

I also gotPremier Element 10 at the same time but not necessary for doing stills

Out of interest the is also versions 7/8/9 but elements 10 is what I would look at

The reason being you can only use it on one computer and second hand ones may not have been deactivated before selling, then you may well be stuffed or have to contact adobe direct to get it deactivated
