Strange sky Sunday 8th January 2023

Morning all. Yep a very strange coloured sky, with rain, wind and sun. It's the end of the world as we know it. bg!! My weird neighbour downstairs says it is the government sending poisonous clouds, I kid you not. I have to be very careful when I see her and she starts as I have to bite my tongue and make an excuse to leave her. She has some very odd thoughts. Anyway I have heard from my daughter in USA and she has sent me some lovely pics from her Christmas with her doglets.
Think my walk will be delayed again today. And yes Kelly why didn't you let Steve bring you home? He is trying to show you that he does care about you. It is all very well being independant but needs must when it is grotty weather. Ah well have a good day everyone.

Good morning Brenda and all who follow

Hope you manage to gt out for your walk later.

Hope Dave soon improves and that your throat is even better today Chris.

Kelly you are a silly girl. I get that you like to be independent but sometimes you need to be careful and accept help.

Hope you like the car you are going to see Lynn.

Lovely and sunny here but for how long if you have rain Brenda. No doubt this afternoon will be wet and miserable.

Take care.

Morning all
Oh god Brenda, is she part of the tin foil hat brigade lol
Sue, could you share your sunshine please?
It rained terribly in the night and it's just grey today.
I didn't get Steve to bring me back as it was our Christmas and I forced him to drink lol....he was objecting when he picked me up but I had a tantrum and won.......if I had realised the rain was going to be so bad I would have fetched my dog walking gear.
My kidneys are bleeding again....very badly, I will wait it out until tomorrow and then ring the hospital, I don't want to go to a&e as they are dead busy and also.... people! Too many people

I did get a taxi Kazz....from town, it was £12 just from there so triple that from Steve's.
Nope no number to call only Monday to Friday and the lady at the drs said to call urology outpatients and ask for a nurse specialist.... there's a 6 hour wait plus at a&e, if I go to rugby and get kept in then there's no way mum can bring me my dinner. The bleeding is slowing down so I should be o.k until tomorrow, I couldn't call them Friday as I had arranged to meet my uncle and I didn't want to let him down....I didn't know when I would get chance to see him again... tomorrow morning my dad has to call the drs and I will have to go with him as mum and him still aren't talking and he won't tell the full story, I am a bit worried he may have cancer tbh...so deal with him first and then me

Afternoon brenda, Sue, griff and all to follow.
Oh dear brenda sometimes its hard to make excuses and run.
Sue I hope you're having a relaxing day.
griff do take care. I get too many people but don't make yourself very very ill.

Ok car lovely test drive done difficult sorting out banking and paying money on the phone but got there eventually.
I was driving the new car home and got onto the A47 over a couple of roundabouts and power dropped.
Couldn't get it above 40. Made Gorden aware and we pulled into a lay-by and he took over the Vauxhall. Same thing so we pulled over again and I said I think as we are halfway we should go back, so we did.
Guy got in the car took it out with us and it did the same thing again.
We ended up over his mates who has a diagnostic machine and it turned out it was the solonoid previous owners had put a new one in and not reset it, so he reset it and it was fine driving back to the guys house where we bought it from.
He gave us his number and has said he will give us £100 if needed to get the solonoid sorted, it drove really well coming home so fingers crossed it is sorted.
Really nice guy when we turned back up. He kept saying I am a nice guy not a bad guy in his Eastern European accent.
We were very grateful for his help he had 7 others lined up to view and as we were first on the list and bought he was hoping for a relaxing day off he works 6 days a week.
Nice to know there are still some decent human beings out there.
He has had the car for two months bought for his wife but she doesn't like it due to its size so hence the sale.
The solonoid problem he wouldn't have known about as he never drove it he has a huge BMW and if his wife only ever drove it for 2 months around Peterborough she wouldn't get above 40.
It is very comfortable and has 11 months mot flown through all of its mot's Gorden checked and has a tow bar with the added electric hook up so we can now charge the caravan fridge if we want while towing.
We will be saving £15 a month on car tax with the Vauxhall and hopefully insurance.
Now to wait for the person on ebay who made a £600 offer on the Chrysler to get back no news since I accepted their offer this morning.
Maybe my message mentioning it will not drive as far as Wolverhampton has put them off. Fair enough but let me know.
Have looked at the link griff thank you so much if nothing comes of this offer although a couple of hundred less we will go with them.

Good afternoon all

A lovely sunny morning here, but very breezy. Has dulled over this afternoon and, of course, it's nowgoing dark (roll on the long days of summer)

My sore throat is almost gone today - yay so we called and had a breakfast outside the cafe. I took coffee with us as I know for a fact at least half of McD's staff are down with colds and flu and they think nothing of standing at the table and coughing over everything. So, it was coffee on the prom today.

Really nice rambling group and a fantastic turnout for a wet/damp Sunday after New Year. Really enjoyed it 7 miles around Sandwell Valley Country Park.
