Cinnamon Shortbread

Thought I'd share my recipe with you. Not suitable for vegans, those with nut allergies and anyone on a diet

2 oz sugar
4 oz butter
1 oz cornflour
2 oz ground almonds
4 oz plain flour
1 level tsp cinnamon

pre heat oven to 325f/170c/gas mark 3 (150c in fan assisted oven)

Cream together the sugar and the butter until light and fluffy.
Sift the cornflour, plain flour and cinnamon together then add the ground almonds.
Mix the dry mix slowly into the sugar and butter until a dough is formed.
Either roll out and cut into biscuits or press into a baking tin or cake tin. Sprinkle with sugar.
Put in oven for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown on top.
Warning being greedy and stuffing shortbread straight into your mouth from the oven burns your tongue!

Yum-yum!!! I might give that a go - waaaaay better than out of a packet!

I`ll have to give that one a miss else I would eat the whole batch. I love cinammon and shortbread so combining them would be fatal. Thanks for the recipe though....

Snap for me too, and I simply can't get enough of cinnamon doughnuts either, as long as they are hot lol!

OOoo those sound nice.... i just love cinnamon.... and shortbread..... and food in general lol!

But as I've just bought the next size down in my skinny jeans quest I wll have to pass as I too would eat them all lol.
