We are going camping for a few days and the wife says we gotta clean the house before we go .. Her reason was... if we are broken into she doesn't want the house looking a mess

Errrrrrr that sounds a lot like me.

I have to make sure no washing in the basket(wouldn't want a burglar seeing dirty laundry), the bathroom is spic and span, the bed is changed, and the sink empty

But, think how nice and tidy it will be when you come back and you haven't been burgled.

I can see where she is coming from. Look at it like this, if the house is all clean and dusted the police will find the burglers fingerprints easily.

I agree, I hate to come back off holiday and see all the jobs that need doing rather than just relaxing on the last day off and thinking about my holiday.

Umm, do I admit to once having a pan fire that I was putting out, and running through my mind was how far do I let it go before I call the firebrigade, oh crap I can't do that the living rooms a mess, luckily I didn't need to, I put it out using a pair of my jeans .
