If it's happening all the time.... then the system clearly isn't working!

I would rather a dog's tail was docked by a vet legally, than a homemade botched up butcher job illegally.

If it can't be enforced legally, then it should be made legal for vets to do it. I personally do not care for docked tails, but if this law is not going to be enforced, it has probably created further suffering!

I looked into getting a SRHP and the breeder told me he had a blanket docking policy. I would not be working the dog but he still would have sold me a docked pup!

Yep, it still goes on, yes, some may be brought over from Ireland, but they will be the minority.

Rotties /Boxers, /Dobes, in fact all traditionally docked breeds ares still being done.


And does anyone do anythign about it nope!!!

Vets in Ireland won't dock tails anymore, but there's nothing to stop people docking them at home. Not that it being illegal would necessarily make much of a difference, as most things aren't enforced.
