season staining

well, so far with indie being in season we've started to get used to it. The only problem is that after the sheets have come out of the wash, all the blood has stained! is there anyway to get the stains out? ive tried some vanish stuff -no idea what its called its in a pink bottle but it didnt work.

Cold water soak before you wash might help?

agree with DM soaking in cold water is the way to go.

Hot water seals the stain so always soak in cold water first to remove stain then wash as normal.

To prevent blood stains, you should try putting some of them doggy nappies on her while she's in the house

As Christine says salt and cold water should do the job.

Ace stain removed works well (o/h had a bad nosebleed one night in bed and it took all those stains out which were much heavier), the stuff you add to the wash just like a fabric conditioner costs about £3 for a huge bottle.

My old boss used to have two Boxer dogs and when they came into heat she used to put a swimming costume over them with a stub cut out for the tail. I wouldn't suggest it, just remembered when somebody mentioned doggy-pants. You can do the home-made ones for half the price. Best of all if you can is to keep her off the bed completley.

I've always used peroxide for blood. It works really well. Pour it right on the blood (before the wash) and then blot it out. I follow that up with a stain stick, pre-soak and then wash. I've not had a stain yet. Gibson and Dudley got into it when Dudley moved in and Gibson ended up with a split ear...bled all over the house and all over me. The peroxide worked wonders.
