Dog head thing

I was wondering if there is a name for the thing that dogs do with their heads when they hear a strange noise on tv or if you talk to them in a funny voice etc.
Some dogs do it more than others ,Kira does it alot ,somtimes you talk to her and she will just sit and move her head from side to side prob trying to work out what I am saying ,once she even sat and watched the tweenies doing it
Benji does it now and again ,is their a name for it and why do they do it ?
I think they maybe do it when they are trying to work out what the noise etc. is
What ever it is it makes them look very cute when they do it

we say he ****s his head on one side oh that will be blurred ok he male hens his head on one side

So its just called c0cking their heads no fancy names for it
When I was younger I used to know a dog that done it quite fast and if her owner went to answer the door and shut the livingroom door behind her the dog would stand at the door and just keep doing it till her owner came back ,it looked so funny

Star does it all the time but she also has a totally confused look on her face at the same time

You're telling me, I can't even mention the breed of my dog c0ckerspaniel.........I end up with this ****erspaniel!!
