Strange calls

Over the past few months ive been recieving strange calls....

They call me mostly every night about 3 times when i answer they don`t say anything and i just hear crackling (sp?) in the background. They phoned me around 9 ish last night when i was at my dads.

So ive just decided to ring orange and see if they can trace the calls but then theres no option to talk to them what fits my problem it says:

Press 1 to top up your balance

Press 2 if your having any problems with your phone.

Press 3 to upgrade a phone

.................................................. .........................

So i pressed 2 - then it said

Press one if your phone has been damaged, lost or stolen

Press two if your having problems calling people

or press three to hear the options again?

Sorry this question sounds really dumb but what do i do ?

xx

Is it a contract or pay-as-you go phone?

If contract find a bill and contact the helpline or if Pay-as-you go get the number from the website.
Hope that helps xx

Ok

BT genie doesn't actually exist anymore, so maybe it is orange??

Best thing I can advice is go inot a carphone warehouse or similar and ask one of the people in there to either call for you or give you the number of a real PERSON to talk to

(yes - Bodhi!!! )

BT/Genie is O2.

The package you described above is an O2 package.

But its with Orange Hevvur

I think she has got mixed up somewhere I don't think it is called anything except a sim card where you can get 300 free texts if you top up by £10 a month cos I have it as well.

Personally I don't think its worth trying to trace the number. I would just ignore them when they call and not answer the phone - they will soon get fed up then - answering it just gives them the attention they crave I think she is just being nosey whether its one of her friends or not. She is meant to be having a new phone off her dad at Christmas anyway so if she only gives the number to a few and the calls carry on then she will have a good idea who it is.

It won't be a genie sim card then

I agree Foxy - just ignore the calls!
If it's one of your friends, surely their name would come up cos it's in your phone book
