10-08-12 Kumba is a stunning and well trained 19 month old Lab/Great Dane Cross. She has been a much loved pet who has lost her home due to the fact that her owner has had to leave the country and despite her having a pet passport he couldn't take her with him. She has been living with me in a temporary foster home for 5 days whilst waiting to go to Many Tears to be spayed and she has been an absolute joy to foster. Kumba is house trained, walks very well on her lead and loves nothing more than to go jogging and cycling with you on lead which she does very well indeed once she finds her rhythm. Kumba has happily walked past children on bikes/scooters as well as other dogs at our local Country Park. She has lived happily with 2 female labs and a male Cairn Terrier. Although Kumba loves to sit on the sofa beside you, she will not get up without asking you first. She does this by putting her head on the sofa next to you and looks at you with her beautiful brown eyes until you pat the sofa, and then she's up like a shot. Kumba is a very powerful and strong girl when she's in full flow and therefore would be best suited to a home without young children. She is a high energy girl and will need an ACTIVE home where her new family are prepared to offer her the exercise programme that she will need to be happy.
