Think we may be losing Heather

We took a chance putting her under a GA to have the mammary tumours removed but wonder now if we did the right thing.
Before she was subdued but she always managed to get up wander around, bark at the postie and eat her dinner with relish.
Now 11 days after the op she is going downhill. She does not get up at all and has to fed and watered in bed and carried out to the garden. She rarely moves, in fact I went to work this morning and this afternoon she is as I left her
We have looked at the wound and it looks okay not red or swollen.
We still intend taking the dogs away on Thursday in the caravan and I am sure we can make a comfy place for her to sleep and hope she enjoys what could be her last little holiday

I`m sorry to see she is so poorly
It is a massive operation though, so she is bound to be under the weather and it is still a very short time since the op really.

Could it be that she has`nt had long enough on painkillers so is still very sore inside and reluctant to try to do much of anything

Or even being lethargic because of painkillers if she is still on them ?

Has the vet talked to you much about what to expect during recovery from this op ?

I`m sorry to be so clumsy with questions, I wish I could just reach out to give you and Heather a hug

I know from having operations myself that a GA can actually knock you out for a long time so it could be that, plus as others have said any medication she is on.
Fingers crossed she starts to improve soon and hope she enjoys her holiday (and you of course!)

Thanks for your replies.
I think you get a gut feeling that something is not right. She had the same op about 18 months ago and recovered remakably quick.
She has finished her antibiotics and now just has a dose of metacam a day.
The OH took her to the Vet yesterday but she would need another GA to get xrays done to see if the cancer had spread.
The other dogs look on very concerned, gently sniffing and watching her
