Savlon for dog's skin?

Takara's got a rash all over her head and sides of her face. I think it's just plain dally rash and it's not bothering her too much but she has scratched it a bit and made it bleed.

I've got some savlon that I've used (for me) on broken skin in the past with amazing results and just wondered if it would help heal the rash as well as the bits she's scratched?

I don't mind trial and error but I want to make sure that I'm not going to hurt her!!

I have also used savlon on my dogs it is a great healer. Mine have never had any adverse effects from it. Hope it does the trick for Takara.

I would think twice a day would be fine

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is also a great skin healer if you happen to have any or it can be bought on Ebay much cheaper than in the shops.

Germoline is good for dogs which lick wounds cause its also a pain reliever so often takes away the irritation.

you can get spray savlon now that is fab on the kids and I would think is good for dogs too. it is a dry spray which also contains iodine. Less messy on the hair i bet.

Unless of course iodine is toxic, does anyone know?

I dont think Iodine is toxic-hospitals must use gallons of the stuff during operations and you'd think they'd know!
