Chicken feeder

hiya,

ive bought a new chicken feeder its basicaly a barrel with a spring nozzel at the end and the hens are ment to peck the spring and the food comes out - its great only i cant get my hens to use it. i bought it as i keep getting magpies stealing their food.

can anyone help?

It may just take them a few days to get used to it. I would leave some food on the floor under it and see if you can get some in he spring.

thanks helen they are used to it now istretched the spring a bit and it lets the food out easier
