Thanks Minihaha that link is really interesting.
Thanks to everyone else, the raw feeding certainly sounds very interesting and obviously is much more natural

I have also found the opposite- a lot less stomach upsets on raw than anything else.

Fingers crossed, but we've not had any upset tummies since we put Ranger onto a raw diet He's been on it for about 5 months now and he's a big strapping pup, can't imagine feeding him commercial dog food ever again.

dogs take around 8 hours to fully digest their food so not enough time for anything harmfull found in food to give them any serious upset.

as said they are designed to be scavangers and their stumochs are much tougher then ours.

no upset tums here, mine all went on raw, because one of mine came down with an auto immune disease, i wanted to get rid of any processed food, as Mini said the acidity of a dogs stomach actually makes it pretty unlikely for any pathogenic bacteria to survive

Teg was quite often "loose" on dried food, now he has a small kibble meal in the morning and main raw meal in the evening and is hardly ever loose now.
The last time he was bad was when he scoffed something on the park which is very unlike him.
The main meat I feed him is chicken.

Jake is regularly fed raw chicken, and has been for 2 years. He has never had an upset tummy since being on raw, and considering how bad he suffered with his allergies, he is worlds apart now He is looking amazing (and I often get comments on his condition ) and he loves his food! I will never willingly feed commercial again!

Was that from a blockage or from the chicken itself? If you know what I mean
