Luca went to Church

Today there was a pet service at our local Church so decided to take Luca as she's better behaved on her own. My youngest daughter took her cockatiel, who was very well behaved (she wears a harness and lead when she's out of her cage. The bird, not my daughter )

We sat at the back, just incase Luca decided she wanted to play/howl/cause havoc and I was so proud of her. She was a star. My daughter and I were asked to walk up and down the aisle to let everyone see Luca and Lilly (the bird) and Luca never batted an eyelid All the people that brought pets with them all got thier pic taken to go into the local news letter

I did have to laugh at the end though. When we were leaving, the vicar stopped my daughter to see her bird. He held out his finger to stroke her and she prompty attacked it, screaming as she was doing it

We 'forgot' to imform him that Lilly doesn't like fingers near her

Wow, I have never heard of that before, and what a great idea. Shame about the vicar's finger though.

They seem to have them quite regularly here (Vicar of Dibley springs to mind ) I'm not a 'churchy' person, but, my daughter wanted to take Lilly so I went along with Luca.

I think it's a great idea. The service was animal themed too.

I might even go to the next one when they have it. I would of loved to of taken all three dogs, but I'd of been dragged all over the church They would of ended up exorcising Shaan I think

The worst bit was Luca decided to break wind through the service. The smell was so bad, I had to turn round to the people behind me and apologise for the pong I blamed it on her 'nervous' tummy

Ouch poor Vicars finger It sounds really good fun though.

At one of our local churches they do animal service days, i've not been to one but according to a friend they get more people there on the day than on a regular service day.
