I've always called them "zoomies" but when I said that to a couple of doggie mates, they didn't have a clue ..... so I wonder just how common the name is????

I love seeing dogs with zoomies, it's definately reassuring to see a senior with the zoomies, Millie went mental when my dad got home from work earlier which was strange as she's usually more calm. (she even chinned the floor when she slipped).
Gives many of us a laugh too

Millies were quite frequant but when she got older they have got down to about one! I used to think she may have cocker syndrome because she growled in such a savege beast form! But mum explained to me it was all normal o.0''

Rox only does zoomies if shes playing with another dog, shes only once done zoomies in the house and I think she got put off as she tried to jump on the bed and just collided with it instead

We call them Loony Time...it has been the hardest part of recovery for my Pointer since she had a knee op in June, having to stop her going loony with our other dog. She gets that look in her eye, drops down to initiate the looniness, and we have to either pick her up or rugby tackle the bigger dog to stop it.

Can't wait until we get the all-clear from the vet to let them go loony again....

BTW it has been quite a challenge trying to explain this to my vet in French!!

My sister's little rough haired JRT used to get the "zoomies" all her life

She was gorgeous and packed full of personality!
