Yet More Garden Piccies

This is the first year for ages I`ve been able to grow flowers, as I`ve re-organised and fenced / paved it. Previously the 4 dogs killed everything
I can`t get over the way flowers suddenly explode on to the scene so I thought I`d bore you with more piccies. In return I`d love to see yours.
stargazer lilies opened yesterday

and the hydrangeas are just starting

the window boxes are surpassing themselves. I tried double petunias and they`re lovely.

And after 2 years I`ve finally coaxed this lily of the nile into flower (I quite like the phot - a bit artistic I thought )

and finally - a clematis I`ve grown up Sam`s memorial bench has suddenly flowered, much to my surprise. I thought it flowered in the Spring! It`s beautiful.

Beautiful flowers. I would love to be able to grow them in my garden. The most I manage is grass and thats a struggle! That first lily is gorgeous!

Lovely photos - I have some agapanthus and have waited two years for them to flower. I haven't learnt to post pictures on this site. Have you ever tried the "Gardeners Click" website. If anyone is into gardening there is a load of info on - worth a look.

Very nice, Claire. I nearly bought a Lily of the Nile today but at the time I didn't know what it was......... aren't they pretty?

We settled on a nice yellow patio rose.....

So summery. I love the Lily of the Nile, I've not seen that before.

I've potted a lily for the first time this year, will it grow back next year? What do I do with it once it's finished flowering?

It looks beautiful. How do you stop those disgusting Lily Bugs eating your Lilies? Mine are well munched. The Agapanthas looks beautiful too, mine isn't even out yet. It kindly waited until I returned from my holiday.

Brilliant site, I use it quite a bit.

Clare, lovely photos.
My Stargazer lilly isn't out yet but has fat buds.
I grew double petunias too this year but the rain has spoilt them.
Love your Clematis, so delicate. Sam obviously has sent it to bloom early for you

Fab photo's, my lilies were enormous this year but the wind has knocked them for six so they're now sitting in a vase in the lounge.
