I never thought I would, but I do now.

Benson is in the vets every other week either for check ups, tests or treatment.

And I'm one of those who they know as soon as I say hello

Yes sadly I do and I don't even know my own mobile number or my sons and daughters.
All the receptionists and all the vets know me and we are all on first name terms.

Not got a clue off by heart. In all honesty I don't really use the vets. Since I have had Jess (coming on two years) she has been to the vet four times (2 of which were for jabs, one of which was because she has started developing arthritis, and one because she had swollen glands and I was afraid it would be cancer - what my old dog died off, with symptons in the glands).

Little cuts I just bathe myself, and keep an eye on, and sprains I let her sleep off and rest her for a day or two. Other than that - touch wood - there has been no need for vet for me

Nope, the only time Marius goes is to get his boosters & kennel cough!

I do really feel for any owner who is always at the vets, it must be both heartbreaking and very hard on your pocket

I know the number off by heart and they know me well.. not just because Pharaoh is an accident prone little angel, but for three dogs all the routine bits and pieces really add up...

The receptionist cried when Jackjack was put to sleep. She had a soft spot for him as she had seen him when I first brought him in all broken and bald... The only one at the practice that was with me all the way through Jackjacks long recovery and rehabilitation...

Every time I leave they say "See you soon" to which I always reply "I hope not"
