So proud of my boy today.....

We've been up to the beach today and considering the there wasn't a cloud in the sky, the sun was shining and there was no wind the beach was packed.

I walked along the beach with Monty on the lead until we found a spot to set up camp for the day then let him off and played frisbee with him, took him in the sea, went rockpooling with him and walked around the dunes and the beach a lot.

I thought to myself upon seeing the busy-ness of the beach that it was going to be a nightmare with his recall not being great but he responded everytime we called him away when he headed towards people. He had a few incidents where his concentration lapsed if another dog was involved but otherwise he was spot on. I was chuffed to bits with him!!

He had a great day and is now fast asleep in his bed and i'm sitting here looking at him feeling really chuffed! Finally a breakthrough!!

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. It's so nice to see our hard work finally starting to pay off and to see that he is paying attention.

It was especially nice as Monty is only 7 months and there was this guy with a fully grown Labrador that kept trying to nick montys frisbee and he couldn't get it to come back for love nor money. I had to grab it's collar in the end.

I felt so sorry for him this morning as Hes had two weeks of Rich being off work and now he's home alone again. He didn't look impressed!
