Book recommendations?

Hey All!

I'm thinking about getting my sister a book for Christmas and just wondered what you all recommend. I think she would like a romantic novel - but I have no idea about them myself

Are there any that really stand out of you or worth recommending?

Thanks for your help!

Anything by Cecelia Ahearn, particularly P.S. i love you.

Her books are wonderful, magical and packed full of reality.

Not sure if you would call it a romantic novel though. DOn't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it but it is about a young widow and the letters that her dead husband has left her ( a whole years worth) to help her to rebuild her life after his death.

It made me laugh, cry, all the emotions and is a real page turner. You want to now what happens in the end but you don't ever want to get to the end and have to be without the characters in your life.

That's a great book.

Also any by Kate Fforde, Jill Mansell and Fiona Walker good faves of mine. I'm a real chick lit girly book type!!! Think that might tell in my author choice - like easy to read stuff as generally its my bedtime read!

Completely agree with the above suggestions. Definitely recommend Tara Road by Maeve Binchy.
If in doubt, get the gift voucher though Azz then she can choose her own.

Maeve Binchy all the way, she is great
My other favourite author is Jodi Picoult, once I start I just can't stop
Problem is I end up waiting for the next one to be printed I have read so many now
