Showing "properly" for the first time tomorrow!

My friend is very kindly letting me handle one of her Basenjis tomorrow at SKC - my first every "proper" show to handle at!

I have a good idea about what I'm doing, but I'm getting a bit nervous now and just hope I don't make a meal of it!

I'll just be really pleased if I manage to get back out the ring it one piece.

ETA: I say "proper" as I've only ever shown at companion shows! I don't mean anything offensive by it, I love companion shows! It's just to try and differentiate the two!

Here's hoping he does, Jen! I think it's not to be too bad tomorrow, looks dry but cloudy, so not too hot for the dogs this time! It was roasting in May. I hope the sun makes an appearance though. See you tomorrow.

Thank you. I'm only doing it for a bit of experience, plus I do love the dog I'm showing so that helps!

You'll be fine Nicola - honestly, I got my first Champ show under my belt this year (typically haven't managed to get to another yet, but that's another tale!!) and I was fine.

TBH, the best advice I got was to concentrate on your dog - if you are doing that too busy focusing on what you and they are doing to notice anything else

Have fun and I hope you do well xx
