Tell us one way having a dog has improved your life...

For me, it's forced me to loosen up a bit. You can't afford to take life too seriously when there's a dog to roll around on the floor with

People who see me out with the pup must think I'm some kind of halfwit, but I just don't care

Dogs make you realise that a comfy bed & never ending food bowl is king!

Seriously though-dogs are a great way of socialising with fellow owners and they give you an excuse to climb from your bed on a dark cold morning for walkies.

I think they have made me even more chatty than I used to be and they have certainly made me fitter!!!!
I just love them to bits and can't imagine life without them so it's hard to say just one way they've improved things...

That's a very easy one. She hasn't so much improved my life but rather given it back to me.

I was clinically depressed for over two years for reasons that go far beyond the scope of this message. However, to say I became withdrawn would be an understatement. I truly believe that you could count the number of times I left the house in that two year period, on two hands alone -- even venturing into my own garden.

Anyway, as I started to feel better (the wonders of modern medicine and a fantastic medical support team --- knock the NHS all ya like but I think they're the best thing in the world) I started venturing into the garden. Then I figured it's time for a dog. It was a two-edged decision really. One because I work at home all day and can therefore afford all the time in the world to a dog, and secondly because it forces you out of the house, like it or not.

Anyway, here I am about four months later, out with the dog each and every day without fail, and loving every second of it. The beauty of dogs is that they don't ask questions, don't judge, and don't have high expectations. Gotta love 'em...

Hmm well I've always had a dog so that's a triky one to answer!

Although one thing I will say is if it wasn't for my dogs I'd get no exercise at all (bar the ward walking I do at work! ). Walking with the dogs is one of my favourite things ever and I truly believe I'd be 20 stone if it wasn't for my boys (and girl ).

Zuki is the cold wet nose who gets me up in the morning, being the fact I am a student I rarely got out of bed before 11am and then I used to spend all day moaning cause half the day was gone! Now Zuki has me up at the crack of dawn and I really enjoy seeing all of the day. Not to mention all the exercise and people I have met including all of you
