Oh no - not aother one! Those leads are lethal. How many dogs have died because of them? They should be banned (for other reasons too!).

Why was a child in control of a puppy in the first place? I'm sorry but it just amazes me when parents allow that. This was a tragic accident that could have been avoided. I am truly sorry for the child that they had to witness that and to lose their pet, but I blame the parent for not having more common sense.

I'm sorry you witnessed that too, how terribly distressing.

That is so sad!!
But I cannot say I agree to banning them
It should be illegal to have them unlocked beside a road

as a driving instructor I was teaching a new pupil in an estate and a woman was walking with 3 toy dogs beside the road - all on unlocked flexi leads
Two of them ran out - thankfully I was expecting it and was able to stop the car
the pupil was in bits tho

But I have found them a godsend with Mia to give her a little freedom
I just havent been able to get on with long lines - they get tangled and Mia can cover 10M in the blink of an eye. She totaly understands when it is locked she walks nicely like with a normal lead. When it is loose she can potter about and run a little, and when she is free she can ZOOM
