House Rennovated and Tree Up - Finally!!!

I adore Christmas and usually have the tree up way before now, because we have had plumbers, carpet fitters etc in right up until Tuesday this week haven't been able to even think about it.

We've had fine fun (sarky) what with no heating or hot water for five days and an emergency call-out to United Utilities as our meter box started to smell of burning and had smoke coming out Carpet fitters were 5 hrs late turning up too - but it all is worth it now I see the finish! Just have to do the nice bits now like buy cushions/pictures/lights etc.

However, we are all tip-top and finished now and it looks like a new house and I am delighted. As you can see it is a slight improvement!! The walls are a pale pastel yellow (they look cream on the photo )

Looks fab hon - worth it

I know how you must have felt going through all that (remember we had the whole house done!)but it's well worth all that mess and worry when you see the final result isn't it! It's looking good, and now comes that nice bit, getting all the new furnishings in, I just loved that bit! I could even do it all over again too! Bet you can't stop looking at it now can you!!!!

I love the walls over the fireplace - what is that then??? It looks like a marble effect??? Is it wallpaper or a paint effect you've used, I really like that!!!
