Phoebe, Fell Terrier - DOB 02.10



Homing Requirements: Phoebe needs a terrier savvy family; she is uncertain around dogs and with confidence behind her she will soon settle. Phoebe needs a secure terrier-proof garden with exit management. Only pet status.

Her Story: Phoebe was found stray with her throat badly torn. The dog warden took her to the vet where they operated to clean the wounds. One week later they re-operated to sew the tears. She has healed well. She was unclaimed so we offered her a rescue place; approached by another rescuer having stopped her being put to sleep, but had nowhere for her to go. We put Phoebe again under GA to spay her, but our vet discovered the deed was already done. She is now micro-chipped and vax'd and in boarding kennels.

Advert: Alert, ever ready, intense and with her humans oh so loving. It is a fascination to enjoy a walk in her company, to see her in her full terrier glory. She is currently building her confidence with dogs, but we are seeing her confidence return just in her first few days with us. Phoebe needs the right confident ownership to lead her forward. Phoebe travels well.

Phoebe is a wonderful example of the Fell terrier. She is interested in chickens behind mesh but distractible...she wasn't particularly interested in horses. Phoebe is just settling with us but we can only hope her family come soon so she can do her settling in a cosy home.
