Questions for presa owners

Hello All

Are they bred in other colours?
What were they bred for originally?

I am quite taken with them and would like to know more about the breed

Hi Chloe

I'm no expert but...

Colours: Fawn, brindle, black, yellow
Cattle herding dogs to start off with but some were used in the pit, however the Presa today is a recreated breed so is actually quite different from the original Presa if that makes sense!
Dominent dogs who need expereinced handlers.
Excellent with the family but distrustful of strangers. High Loyalty. Very territorial in the home, will only accept strangers in the house once you have shown that you have accepted them. Although they don't start fights with other dogs, more than able to look after themselves so have to be careful around new (especially aggressive) dogs. Males grow to about 120lbs and 26" to the withers.

I think most of that is applicable, if not Im sure Johnno or Lizzy or Jap or Topdrive will say so!

Hi Chloe

I'm also interested in the presa, and I went to look at www.dogbreedinfo.com, and did a search there.

You have to look for the canary dog.

Hope its okay I posted that link Azz, if not erase it and Chloe can pm me!
