When I first visit a club I ask for a copy of their rules.
It appears to me that the KC take the money and thats it.

They check the constitution but any club that wants to hold a bank account has to have a constitution and rules about what happens to money and assets they hold in cas ethe thing folds.

Hi Brierley

thanks for throwing that my way

im doing the KCAI myself, as it goes

so that one only applies to people taking that course, so its not the code of practice for those clubs that run the Good citizens Scheme.

However, i may have found that, as someone has reproduced serveral Good citizen scheme pdf's on their own website:

http://http://www.centralbedfordshirecaninetrust.com/uploads/4/3/4/6/4346291/puppy_foundation_level.pdf

http://http://www.centralbedfordshirecaninetrust.com/uploads/4/3/4/6/4346291/bronze_level.pdf

http://www.centralbedfordshirecaninetrust.com/uploads/4/3/4/6/4346291/silver_level.pdf

http://http://www.centralbedfordshirecaninetrust.com/uploads/4/3/4/6/4346291/gold_level.pdf

http://http://www.centralbedfordshirecaninetrust.com/uploads/4/3/4/6/4346291/responsibility_and_care.pdf

So these pdf's are literally a code of practice of the Good Citizen exercises and what they entail, but nothing about a Code of Conduct as regards how clubs should implement these classes re issues such as Health and Safety

Which was what i thought may be the case, so i cant go down this road.

I don't know if it is the same for training clubs but at confirmation shows.
If a dog attacks an other dog then the owner can make a complaint throught the club to the KC.
The KC will put the complaint before the committee and ask the two owners for information or to attend on the day.

If that dog is judged to be of bad temperament then it can be banned for any future events.

I have seen fines and bans for dogs for behaviour at agility and training clubs in the kennel club gazette.
Just looked in Gazette and there is one dogs owner fined £50 for dog not under control at Dogs in need agility champ show.
One dog warned at scunthorpe obediance traing club show and Hinkley dog traing club Agility for Britain.

It is exactly the same the KCGCDS Guidelines contain clear instructions about breeds of dog, vaccinations, fees, safety, insurance and complaints procedure.

It is all on Page 7

then you must have a copy SB?

i have been asking in a few posts today if anyone has one and if they can avail me of the details?

does this mean the several links i have discovered above which are all about the KCGCDS arent the only guidelines and that their is a separate code of conduct for persons implementing the classes?
