For those of you who put their NI or Ute under crossbreed (as there is no category for them) I read the FAQ's and it reads as follows:

Are there any dogs you won't cover?
Unfortunately, we can't offer cover for the following kinds of dogs (or cross-breeds):

Racing greyhounds
Any dogs used for trade or business such as security guard dogs
American Bull Dogs
American Pit Bull Terriers
American Staffordshire Bull Terriers
Argentine Dogos
Canary Dogs
Cane Corsos
Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs
Dogo Argentinos
Dogue Brasileros
Fila Braxilieros
Irish Staffordshire Bull Terriers
Japanese Tosas
Northern Inuit Dogs
Perro De Pressa Canarios
Pit Bull Terriers
Presa Canarios
Sarlooswolfhounds
Tosa Inus
Utonagans
Wolf Hybrids

I pay 14.99 a month for each dog and have had little trouble with them.

The first claim I did with them though I had to rant and rave a bit to get them to pay up, but I got it out of them in the end (£1200 !)

Since then I've had no trouble getting money out of them and thay have always paid up quite quickly

Could be that they may have had a lot of claims for crossbreeds in your area. And that Springers haven't if you know what I mean? The normal quote in your area may well be somewhere in the middle, but you've got the extremes of both due to possible claims in the surrounding areas?

Just a guess mind, I did car and home insurance not pet!
