Do you think it matters?? (I know I am very sad)

Shorten it to Bert.

When we first picked Monty we were going to call him Louie then my sister named her baby/my nephew Louie so we were back to the drawing board.

My OH wanted to call him Ralph - his reason being that the dog would apparently be able to say his own name which I thought was stupid but did quite like the name.

We also have friends who have a beagle and his name is Floyd which I thought was a nice name for a beagle.

There have been some fab suggestions already though!

Good luck when you finally get him home and dong forget to post us lots of photos!!

Thanks for all your suggestions!

I really like Monty, and we did also think about Louie!
The Ralph names sounds like something muy OH would also say!

My sister has put a poster in her work for name suggestions, one was Spencer, which seems to be the fav we both agree on at the moment! Do you all like Spencer for a Beagle?

I quite like Spencer, keep the suggestions coming, I am taking notes I think you have to imagine yourself standing somewhere yelling your dogs name before deciding, also what would it end up being shortened to, Fiji is called Flea!
