i have sent them a letter!
im crap at writing!

and some of it doesnt make sense. oops.

To whom it may concern, I have read the article titled 'Little bruisers that make me quake' by Cassandra Jardine. I'm sure you are familiar with this article and have had a large amount of response!
This article has disgusted me and I assure you I will not be buying your newspaper again. I own a staffordshire bull terrier and also have many friends that do. My dog has NEVER shown aggression towards anyone and I never worry that she will. This breed is not dangerous and I'm sure if you speak to the Kennel Club they will say the same. Afterall when i family asks them what type of dog wil suit their lifestyle when they have small children around, they more often than not reccommend the staffordshire bull terrier. I don't think the kennel club would risk their reputation saying this if it were not true.
You are portraying this breed as a devil dog, which by all means does not help with their reputation and will probably cause more 'bad owners' to want to get them. As stated in your article there are numerous staffies in rescues because these bad owners have chucked them to the side of the road for not being aggressive. So does this not say that they are not aggressive?

Your reporter also states that most of the staffies she has met have been crosses, well im sorry but a cross isn't a good example of the breed and more often than not the dog described as a staffie or pitbull type is often not. And as far as many of us are aware there was no such attack in edinburgh!

If you look at dog breed statistics there are no more bites from staffies as there are labradors, this is also the case for severity. They are not a demon dog and you should feel ashamed of yourself for portraying them as that.
