do you need SP1 and SP2?

Try downloading the latest drivers for your graphics card from their site. Also it depends on how old the game is, if its old, ur system may be too new for it

You need SP1 it solves alot of proplems and SP2 this has been know to cause proplems with software already installed so if you do install SP2 to get it to work with other software a full format could be on the cards it won't crash your system just won't display stuff correctly.

I had problems with word doc's they didn't display properley untill i re formated and installed SP2 first then put word and the other software back on then i had no problems.

Thanks for all the responses. I am learning new things already. Anyway, the game is Sims 2 (new game). I followed the directions given by Mr. Leo and came up with this:

Intel(R)82865G and also that I have SP1
